Abstract

This study delves into the intricate dynamics of border security and illicit trafficking along the Namibia-Angola frontier, employing a rigorous research methodology grounded in theoretical frameworks and empirical data. Findings reveal a significant involvement of young to middle-aged men in smuggling activities, encompassing a range of contraband from alcohol to firearms, and encountering substantial challenges in law enforcement and interagency coordination. The study underscores the critical need for tailored interventions addressing socio-economic determinants, advancements in surveillance technology, and enhanced cross-border collaboration to mitigate smuggling.
